Mental Health Champions

This 1-day training certified by Mental Health First Aid England enables participants to understand common mental health issues and have the knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness. It also gives participants the ability to spot signs of mental ill health and the skills to support positive wellbeing.

Mental Health First Aid

This 2-day training certified by Mental Health First Aid England is ideal for people who would like to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.​ You can choose to have the MHFAider® role in your business or train purely for the knowledge and skillset. In addition to the course, you will become part of a large MHFAider® community, gain access to resources, ongoing learning and 24/7 digital support through the MHFAider Support App®, that provides ongoing tools and knowledge.

Mental Health First Aid Refresher

Recommended every three years.

This 4-hour refresher training is certified by Mental Health First Aid England and aims to refresh and maintain the skills learnt in the original Mental Health First Aid training. Participants will renew their skills, update their knowledge and have the chance to practice applying the Mental First Aid action plan. This refresher provides continued access to three more years of MHFAider® support and benefits.

Investing in this training will keep your Mental Health First Aiders motivated, empowered and confident to carry out their roles, giving you peace of mind they can perform their duties effectively.

Suicide First Aid

This 1-day Suicide First Aid training is accredited by City & Guilds and is the UK’s only national Suicide Prevention qualification. It is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills to understand how to recognise people at risk of suicide and provide safe support.

Participants will learn about attitudes and beliefs towards suicide, as well as the role stigma plays. They will increase their understanding around possible causes of suicidal thoughts and how to spot signs, alongside intervention skills. Finally, the course covers how to meet the needs and support someone who is thinking about suicide.

Suicide First Aid Lite

This half-day Suicide First Aid Lite training is accredited by City & Guilds. Participants will learn about attitudes and beliefs towards suicide, as well as the role stigma plays. They will increase their understanding around possible causes of suicidal thoughts and how to recognise signs and ask about suicide.

This one-day training is designed as an upskill add-on for people who are already trained as Mental Health First Aiders or Champions. The programme aims to enhance their knowledge and skills, equipping them to provide meaningful and informed support to neurodivergent colleagues.
